Hendry County
Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
The Hendry County BOCC handles county-wide decisions that directly affect Montura — zoning, land use, road maintenance, sheriff funding, building permits, and code enforcement. Meeting agendas and the official calendar are posted on the Hendry County website.

Elections
CCWD Elections & Accountability
County commission, water district, and cooperative board elections shape Montura's future. Hendry County BOCC, the Central County Water District, and Glades Electric Cooperative all hold elected seats — most races are decided by a small number of informed voters.
Why it matters: Local government has the most direct impact on roads, water, permits, and taxes. The CCWD board specifically controls drainage decisions that affect flooding on Montura roads and properties.
