Mailboxes & Package Delivery
USPS rules for rural Montura mailboxes, cluster boxes, and package delivery.
Montura mail delivery uses approved roadside boxes or cluster box units (CBUs). USPS sets the height, setback, and box-style rules — getting it wrong means no delivery. Package carriers (UPS, FedEx, Amazon) deliver to your physical address.
USPS Rules
Mailbox face 41–45 inches from the road surface, 6–8 inches back from the curb/road edge, and the box must be USPS-approved. Decorative posts are allowed but must break away on impact.
Cluster Boxes
Some Montura roads are served by cluster box units. Contact LaBelle Post Office to get assigned a box and pick up your key.
Package Delivery
UPS, FedEx, and Amazon deliver to most Montura addresses. Mark your driveway clearly with your 911 address — drivers won't guess. For high-value items, consider a locking package box or delivery to a Hendry County pickup location.
Reporting Vandalism
Mailbox vandalism is a federal crime. Report to the Postal Inspection Service and the Hendry County Sheriff.
