Building, driveway, land-clearing, and well/septic permits in Hendry County.
Almost every project on a Montura lot — a new build, an addition, a barn, a driveway, a well, or clearing land — needs a permit. Pulling them up front protects your investment and avoids steep fines.
Building Permits
New construction, additions, re-roofs, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work all require permits from Hendry County Zoning & Planning. Contractors typically pull them; owner-builders can pull their own with restrictions.
Driveway & Culvert Permits
Any new driveway or culvert connecting to a county road requires a permit from the Central County Water District.
Land Clearing
Clearing beyond a small footprint requires a Vegetation Removal / Land Clearing Permit. Wetlands and protected species can trigger state review.
Wells & Septic
Well construction is permitted by SFWMD. Septic systems are permitted by the Florida Department of Health — Hendry County office.
