Seed Saving & Seed Swaps
Save your best plants — keep Montura's varieties alive.
Saving seeds means free plants next year, varieties adapted to your exact soil, and independence from seed companies. Open-pollinated and heirloom varieties come true from seed; hybrids (F1) do not.

Save true-to-type seeds from your best plants and trade locally.
Easy Starters
Tomatoes, peppers, beans, peas, lettuce, okra, and squash are beginner-friendly. Let fruit fully ripen, scoop seeds, ferment tomato seeds 2–3 days, dry on a paper plate, store in a labeled envelope in a cool dry place.
Local Swaps
Bring your saved seeds to Garden Club meetings and the Community Open Market. Trade for varieties already proven in Montura soil.
