Septic
Septic permits, installation, pump-out, and drain field care.
Virtually every property in Montura is on septic. A well-maintained system lasts decades; a neglected one fails fast in our high water table. Here's what to know about permits, installation, and routine care.

Permits
New tanks and drain field replacements require a permit from the Florida Department of Health, Hendry County — 1100 S Olympia St, Clewiston, FL 33440 — (863) 983-1408. Your installer typically files. If your property is inside Clewiston city limits, additional city permits may apply — contact Clewiston City Hall.

Maintenance
Pump every 3–5 years depending on household size. Avoid driving or building over the drain field. Watch for slow drains and unusually green patches in the yard as early warning signs.

Local Providers
See our Local Businesses → Septic Tank Services page for installers, pump-outs, inspections, and emergency repairs.
