Organized watch programs deter theft and improve emergency response in rural areas.

Flooding & Drainage Infrastructure

Roads and homesteads in Montura flood after heavy rain. Drainage canals and culverts need maintenance and modernization.

C-139 Basin & Water Protection

The C-139 Basin drains into the Everglades. We advocate for water quality monitoring and responsible land use.

Tree Trimming & Utility Safety

Overgrown vegetation around power lines causes outages and fire risk. We advocate for proactive trimming.

Stray Dogs & Animal Welfare

Stray and loose dogs threaten livestock, pets, and children. We coordinate humane response and prevention.

Dangerous Commercial & Ag Trucks — Report to FHP

Produce, cane, sand, and other commercial haulers tearing through Montura at unsafe speeds, with no or illegible plates, bullying smaller vehicles. Every incident needs to be reported to the Florida Highway Patrol and local authorities.

Illegal Dumping

Trash, construction debris, and abandoned vehicles dumped on Montura roadsides and vacant lots — a community health, safety, and property-value crisis.

Sugar Field Burning

Pre-harvest cane burning across the Glades sends ash and smoke into Montura — a public health and air quality fight we share with the Sierra Club.
