Kids Ranch & Wildlife Day
A hands-on day for kids — animals, nature, ranch skills, and safe outdoor fun.
Kids today don't get enough time outside, around animals, or learning where their food comes from. Kids Ranch & Wildlife Day fixes that for one Saturday — a free, family-friendly event built entirely around hands-on experiences for children. Pet a miniature cow. Hold a baby chick. Meet a gopher tortoise. Try a lasso. Ride a pony. Make memories that don't involve a screen.
What it could be
- Petting area with miniature cows, ponies, goats, chicks, and rabbits.
- Pony rides, hay rides, and a kids-sized obstacle course.
- Wildlife meet-and-greets with rangers and licensed educators.
- Junior cowboy skills — roping a steer head, barrel weaving, horsemanship basics.
- Crafts, face painting, and a 'where does your food come from' station.
- A free lunch tent for kids.

This only happens if you show up.
