Hendry County Latin Food & Culture Festival

A celebration of the food, music, and families that make Hendry County who we are.

So much of what makes Hendry County feel like home — the food on the table, the music after church, the families who built our farms and ranches — comes from our Latino neighbors. This festival puts all of that front and center for one weekend so the whole county can taste it, hear it, and celebrate it together.

What it could be

  • Food vendors and home cooks sharing dishes from across Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Live music — from cumbia and salsa to ranchera, bachata, and Tejano.
  • Folk dancers, kids' dance lessons, and a community dance floor under the lights.
  • Crafts, art, and small businesses owned by local Latino families.
  • Bilingual storytelling — first-generation families sharing how they got here.

Highlights

  • Food: arepas, tacos, empanadas, pupusas, lechón, pasteles, fresh aguas frescas
  • Music: live bands, DJs, traditional folk performances
  • Family: kids' crafts, folk dance lessons, free children's activities
  • Marketplace: Latino-owned vendors, artisans, and small businesses

Who we need

  • Cooks and food vendors
  • Musicians, dancers, and DJs
  • Sponsors (local businesses, banks, ranches)
  • Bilingual volunteers and emcees
  • Setup, cleanup, and parking crew

This only happens if you show up.

Volunteer, sponsor, perform, vend, or just say "count me in." Every festival starts with a few neighbors who decided to build it.
