Montura Festivals - Coming Soon · For families, ranchers, and the outdoor crowd
Old Florida Heritage Festival
A family-friendly day showing off the Florida that most people have never seen.
Most people think Florida is beaches, Disney, traffic, and condos. We know better. The Old Florida Heritage Festival is a fun family day that celebrates the ranching, horses, airboats, hunting, fishing, wildlife, and outdoor traditions that built rural Florida — and still define communities like Montura today. Not a history lesson. Not a museum. A real day out where a kid can pet a miniature cow, meet a working cattle dog, watch an airboat, and shake hands with a real cowboy — all in one place.
What it could be
- Cracker cattle and ranch horse demonstrations.
- Cowboy skills — roping, whip-cracking, working dog demos.
- Airboats on display, with operators sharing stories of the Everglades.
- Hunters, fishermen, and outdoor guides talking about conservation and the land.
- Pioneer families, Seminole speakers, and ranchers passing down what they know.
- Live country, bluegrass, and Southern music with local food.
Highlights
- • Horses, cracker cattle, miniature cows, and farm animals
- • Airboats, hunting dogs, and wildlife exhibits
